I am a New York-based investigative journalist. Right now, I primarily cover the criminal legal system, but I’ve also written about topics including climate change, war, extremism and business for national news outlets. I’m an experienced fact-checker and researcher who has worked on books and podcasts.

I’m currently investigating stories about the changing landscape of capital punishment and was recently named as a Livingston Award finalist for my coverage of this topic. I’m also working for Freakonomics Radio Network, where I provide research for The Economics of Everyday Things and conduct fact-checking for the network’s shows.

I’m particularly interested in accountability stories. My work has appeared in publications including ProPublica, The Intercept, Fortune, The Appeal, Gothamist and Al Jazeera. I’m skilled at producing stories across mediums, and my photojournalism has been featured in outlets like PBS NewsHour.
